What power source do I need?

The Songbook Max comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Simply connect this cable to a USBC charging port that is capable of delivering 15V and 1.5A.

How do I search for radio stations?

To find radio stations, simply turn the large Tuning Dial located between the two speakers. You can also press the Scan button located on top of the unit to scan for station signals.

How do I make radio presets?

To save a preset, turn the radio on and find your desired station. Once you’re on the signal, press and hold the Preset button located on the top panel of the Songbook Max until you see “Preset Added” on the display. You can save up to 5 presets.

How do I delete a radio preset?

To delete a preset, press the Preset to reach the desired station. Then press and hold that Preset button until you see “Preset Deleted”. That Preset button is now free to be used on a new station.

How can I see my saved presets?

Press and hold the Source button till you see System appear on the display. Turn the Source knob till you see Preset on the display. Press the source knob. You can then turn the Source knob to see your saved presets.

How can I change my FM scan settings.

Press and hold the Source button till you see System appear on the display. Turn the Source knob till you see Scan Settings appear on the display. Press the Source button once. Turn the knob to select if you want to scan to all stations or only strong station signals. Press the source button to make your selection. Repeat this process to change it back.

How can I brighten or dim my display?

Press and hold the Source button until System appears on the display. Press the Source button once. Contrast will show on the display. Press the Source button once. You can now turn the Source knob to the left to lower the brightness or the right to raise the brightness.

How do I connect to Bluetooth?

Make sure your Songbook Max is turned on and in Bluetooth Mode. Next, press the Pairing button located on the top panel of your Songbook Max. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device and look for the “SongBookMax_XXXXX”. Select this to pair. You’ll hear a chiming noise once the connection is complete. You’ll only need to follow this process once. After you’ve paired for the first time, you’ll see the Songbook Max listed in your Bluetooth devices every time it’s turned on in Bluetooth mode.

How do I use the preamp feature?

You’ll use the Amp when plugging in a guitar, bass or other instrument requiring a high impedance input. Turn the Songbook Max on and turn the Source knob to Auxiliary Mode. Turn the volume knob down to Zero. Next, flip the Toggle Switch to Amp. Now you can connect the instrument using the Auxiliary Port.

How do I use the Line feature?

You’ll use the Line port when connecting a music source, such as an MP3 player, turntable, or computer. You can also use it for instruments that do not require additional amplification, such as a keyboard. Turn the Songbook Max on and turn the Source Knob to Auxiliary Mode. Flip the Toggle Switch to Line. You can now connect the device using the Auxiliary port. Take care not to flip the Toggle Switch to Amp.

I hear some static in BT mode.

When pairing with Bluetooth, make sure the volume on your smart device (phone, tablet, laptop) is set no higher than 75%. This will prevent any static or feedback noise.

I’m unable to pair via BT.

Start by turning your Songbook Max off, and then on again. Press the Source knob to enter BT mode. Press the Pairing button located on the Top Panel. Next, turn the BT off and then on again on your smart device. Now look for the SongBook Max in your list of available devices.

Can I factory reset my unit?

Yes. Press and hold the source button till you see System on the display. Press the Source button once. You can then turn the knob till you see Factory Reset on the display. Press the Source button again to rest your unit.

When do I use the service port?

The service port is only for use by authorized Tivoli Audio service centers. You will not need to use this port at home.

Can I play the Songbook while it’s charging?

Yes! You can use the Songbook Max while it’s charging. Please note that the batteries will not charge while the Songbook Max is in use. It only charges while not being in use.

Can I connect my SongBook MAX to other speakers?

The Songbook Max is designed to be a standalone speaker. It is not intended to be used with other speakers.

How long does the battery last?

The average battery life is 10 hours on a single charge. Please note this can change depending on your music source and volume.

Is this waterproof?

The Songbook Max is water resistant, but not waterproof. Take it to the pool, but don’t throw it in.

How do I change the batteries?

The rechargeable batteries will not need to be changed, only recharged.

What do the blinking lights mean?.

Blinking Red - the unit is turned off but charging. Blinking green - the unit is fully charged. Blinking Blue - in Bluetooth mode but not paired.
